If money was no object then I would spend a weekend in London’s Oxford and Regent’s Streets at Christmas after dark when there are glittering lights crossing them, and all the shops had stunning window displays.
Not only would I buy presents, but a new winter coat and boots from Selfridges for example, and visit every bookshop I could to buy the book that interested me most – usually history or fiction or both, although carrying them may be difficult because I would be using public transport.
A nice lunch would be added to the spree, at one of London’s poshest hotels like The Ritz, and perhaps a show in the evening.
