To be a yacht

My father was a sailing boat enthusiast, and two of his boats, a dinghy and a small yacht, were named after his mother, my grandmother.

Sadly, she died before he came to own these boats, and I never met her, but we had a wonderful time sailing on the south coast, and beyond on the yacht, mainly at weekends but, sometimes on week cruises. One year we went to the channel Islands, and another to Plymouth, where we swam in the sea.

He died in 2011, but if he had had another yacht, I think I would have liked it named after me. However, there are three of us so it would have sparked some indignation from my younger siblings.

Maybe he could have merged all our names together for a name of a yacht?
