I enjoy reading many types of books these days, but I tend to only read them once as time is limited and I want to spend it reading other books.
but, as a child, I would read Enid Blyton books, in particular the Malory Towers series over and over.
I used to get told that I was too old for these books, and to read something more ‘grown up’ and I did, but I would return to Malory Towers afterwards.
They inspired my own school stories, which I never wrote down except at school when I would fill an exercise book with one story. I just enjoyed hours at play ‘being’ a character I had created.

One response to “Remembering Malory Towers”
BIG soft spot for Enid. The Famous Five were my childhood joy. And a brilliant one called ‘The Secret Island’ 😍
